" Inspired by the deep nostalgia of this original print set, I decided to go one step further in that exploration with these hand-embellished artist's proofs. Each print is directly influenced by the 1999 film, "Pokemon: The First Movie." As a 7-year-old seeing it in theaters, I remember how shook I was when it was revealed that Mewtwo had cloned the three starters and they were on his team. So when it came to hand-painting each of these prints, it was a lot of fun to think of that memory and transfer all of it into this hand-embellished edition. " - David Heo
